I highly recommend this video that explains Depth of Knowledge. There are even examples of how different DoK questions and tasks would apply to a History and Social Studies classroom!

I’m glad you found this video helpful. We use it in many of our trainings. I’ve noticed, however, that some District wifi systems may not allow videos to be viewed. Hopefully that’s not a problem at your school.
